Overview

Media entities are a type of content that represent media files, such as images, videos, and audio files. Media entities are typically created automatically when you upload media files to your website, and they provide a way to store and manage the metadata, or additional information, associated with those files. This metadata can include the title, description, caption, and other details about the media file, as well as information about its size, dimensions, and file type. Media entities can be managed and accessed using the media admin page in the Drupal administration area. They can also be inserted into content using the media browser, which allows you to browse and select media files from within the text editor.
