Overview

All content on a Drupal website is stored and treated as "nodes". A node is any piece of individual content, such as a page, news article, event, or directory entry. Treating all content as nodes allows the flexibility to create new types of content. It also allows you to painlessly apply new features or changes to all content of one type.

Walkthrough

  1. Log in to your web platform site and navigate to the "Content" section.

  2. Click on the "Add content" link to open the content creation form.

  3. Choose the type of content that you want to create, such as a page or news article from the list of options.

  4. Enter the title and add your content in the appropriate fields.

  5. Use the menu on the right side of the page to add any additional information such as placing the page in the Main Navigation menu.

  6. When you are finished, click on the "Save" button to publish your content.

  7. To view your content on the front-end of the website, click on the "View" link next to the content item on the content admin page.
