UK Web Platform February 2025 Release Notes v3.8.0
Version 3.8.0 of the UK Web Platform was released on February 7, 2025. This release includes feature additions and bugfixes. Platform packages are available at github.com/uky-web.
New Features
- Enabled & configured the Gin admin theme, Gin toolbar, and Gin login for an improved user experience.
Fixes
- Applied fix so the admin toolbar is the same size on the front end and back end themes.
- Corrected active menu item color in the sidebar navigation.
- Updated menu link text size to match the mega menu item text size.
- Fixed issue where some buttons in .editorial had white text on hover making it not visible.
- Fixed issue where full width small and split hero small header types rendered as plain text only on news and events content types.
- Corrected broken Utility nav menu styling on mobile breakpoint.
Other Changes
- Updated the Flex Grid paragraph to be full width if you only add one item to the grid.
- Updated Editorial Aside paragraph type to stack on mobile breakpoint.
- Set all paragraph fields for page, news, and events to the paragraphs (stable) widget. Also configured to be closed on initial load to make sorting and finding content you want to edit easier.
- Updated breadcrumb settings to not be visible if the only link is the home.
- Added "Site Owner" role. This will be used by our team for tracking purposes.
- Created a "UK Platform Settings" configuration menu item. This is currently a placeholder page and only has the menu settings as a child.
For Developers
- Updated Drush to version 13 to support recipes.
