UK Web Platform March 2025 Release Notes v3.9.0
Version 3.9.0 of the UK Web Platform was released on March 12, 2025. This release includes feature additions and bugfixes. Platform packages are available at github.com/uky-web.
New Features
- Added new page header, Full-width her (overlay), which allows for ambient video or an image with an overlay at the bottom for the other fields.
- Added 3 new paragraph types.
- Added front end visual cue that a node is unpublished.
- Added an ECK Entities view listed under the Content menu for Content Managers and above.
Fixes
- Emergency Alert block was not placed by default. Update hook to place the block but only on the uky platform theme. It will not place the block on any sub themes.
- Updated news teaser to include the missing pipe between the byline and date, added super and sub head fields, and added missing categories.
- Updated styling for the mobile search layout.
Other Changes
- Increased the sizing of the image column on the Directory view.
- Changed the utility menu to not be all caps by default. Updated styling to match main menu styling.
- Templated and styled drupal status messages for better visibility.
- Updated Maps embederator paragraph to include a cleaner map embed.
For Developers
- Setup default content module and configured a default homepage for new site creation.
